The festivity of the Motupe's Crucifix

The festivity of Motupe's Crucifix is a celebration that demands the participation of a lot of devotees, because they carry a big wooden crucifix from the Chalpon´s chapel to the town square. This journey takes all day and demonstrates the faith they have. This festivity is attended by people from different parts of Peru and the world.

The objective of this blog is that people learn about the Peruvian traditions, culture and customs. This festivity highlights the different cultural aspects of the northern of Peru and demonstrates the people´s creativity to show their devotion to God.
